I've found in the past that running consecutive days would lead to injury for me, so I avoid it. But I may be more prone to injury than most? not sure.
Since there are so many cross training options it might be good to choose one of those instead? like go for a bike ride, take a spin class, elliptical/rowing machine at the gym.
