Jinxed

Ugh. I must have jinxed myself. I responded to Christina_Diane's post about getting a PISA and never having issues with milk in the tubing... well since last night, every time I pump one of my tubes has gotten milk in it! I can find no reason for it, either. I am doing everything exactly the same as I have for the past 4 months of EPing. It's making my pump sessions very annoying and frustrating though :-(

Anyone else have experience with milk in PISA tubing? I don't know what to do!

Re: Jinxed

  • I didn't see the other post, but the only time I have gotten milk in the tubes is when I overflowed a bottle. Assuming this isn't the case, maybe check to see if the parts are all connected properly. The membrane is on tight and the piece that the membrane is on is attached all the way to the flange.

Thanks. The bottle was only half full each time, and I double checked that everything was on tightly/correctly. I decided that maybe I was leaning back too far. Strange, considering I was sitting in the exact same position that I always do, and it happened 3 or 4 pump sessions in a row. My pump this morning was fine when I was leaning forwards, so that must have been it!
