Having my gall bladder removed tomorrow..

MIL is coming into town tonight so she can help with LO as I probably won't be able to lift her for a few days (which I am sad about). I just hope it all goes smoothly and that I'm not in the 1% of people who can't have it done lapriscopically. So if you could all keep your fingers crossed for me, for an easy surgery and recovery, I'd appreciate it :-).

Good luck! I had mine out 3 years ago...if you have ever had gallbladder pain then you will be happy once it's taken out. Do as much walking as you can after the surgery, it helps get all of the gas out. I used to walk in circles in the house when I would feel the gas pains under my ribs.

Since DD has been born, I get an attack every 2-3 weeks so I know the pain and boy is it awful...main reason I am getting it removed and that it's unpredictable which doesn't help when caring for a baby. Thanks for the tip..I'll be sure to walk a lot!

Good luck, one of my really good friend's had hers out a couple of years ago and i helped her recover. At least tomorrow it will be over, and you can focus on recovering!

I have two friends that had their's taken out after having their kids and they all recovered pretty fast. I hope yours goes well and that you MIL can be a lot of help!
