Charlotte has hated baths since the day she was born. She screamed through her first five or so real baths and has never enjoyed them. I have gotten in the tub with her a handful of times and that seems to be the only times she has ever not disliked them.
Well now that she's a professional pull-up-er and cruiser, bath time is a nightmare. She wants to stand the entire time and leans over the edge and tries to climb out.
I can get her body clean within just a matter of a minute or two so that's not my issue. It's getting her hair washed and rinsed without getting the rest of the bathroom soaked. Ughhh. Apparently she isn't as bad with my husband so he does most of baths but on nights where he's working, I'm stuck with the bath demon.
I'm just hoping this phase passes and she'll actually play with her toys or at least be patient enough to get clean.
Ughhh. Okay. Vent over.
Re: Does anyone else just dread bath time?
I had to laugh when you mentioned washing her hair. Penelope still doesn't have enough hair to bother with
And, for what it's worth, she loves baths. It's her bonding time with her dad. Now, dinnertime is a different story....
So jealous! I wish all I had to do was a quick rinse with the face. Nope. Lather, rinse, repeat. Oh well. Dinnertime is a pain as well but we're working on it.
Btw, I adore the name Penelope and your siggy picture is precious.

I think my boy is a water baby. He hated baths until he was 6 months and all he does now is splash like a madman. I've given bath time to the hubby as whomever does it ends up soaked from all the slashing.
Oh yes. She has tons of fun tub toys but has absolutely no interest. We even have this one:
It shoots water out of the top and is really neat but she just doesn't care. All she wants to do is get out. Makes bath time a grand total of like three minutes long.
