Or do you just brush with water? I haven't been regularly brushing since there were only two tiny teeth, but with the third poking through, I want to make this part of our regular routine. My question is do we use the toothpaste that came with the finger brush?
Re: Do you use baby toothpaste?
Q only has three teeth but my pedi told me to wipe his teeth with a washcloth after meals when i wash his face. We've made a routine of it and it's the only time he lets me in his mouth. I am not looking forward to when we have to brush.
Yup, we use baby toothpaste, and Tatum is already on her second toothbrush. I may have let her chew on her old one a little too often.
As long as it's fluoride free toothpaste until they're old enough to know to spit it out and not eat it, it's fine. I wonder why they make fruity delicious tasting toothpaste when kids are supposed to be spitting it out, though.

Right now I just use the finger toothbrush with water.
I need to start doing it more regularly though, and I guess since she is one I should start using toothpaste. We don't have fluoridated water here, so the recommendations here are to move to a tiny smear of fluoride toothpaste around one.
