Should I go to the 1st drop off?

Tomorrow is DS's 1st day of preschool he had an orientation day last week. I'm a SAHM so he's always with me but doesn't have any separation anxiety. DH I both went to the orientation day with him as well as his baby sister. I've been telling him a lot that when he goes this week mommy daddy won't be there. He says okay and doesn't seem worried about.
I'm trying to figure out if I should go to drop off tomorrow or just say goodbye at home DH will be taking him everyday on his way to work. In your experience what do you think would be easier for DS?

  • Ugh, I hate that bump mobile doesn't include my punctuation!!! Sorry for the run on sentences!

  • I think it would be an easier transition if only the person that will be dropping him off everyday goes. Take lots of pictures at home though!

  • I say, let your DH take him. You will establish a routine and your son will probably be less clingy to your DH, if he starts to get nervous.

  • I would go - its the 1st day.  My DH and I take turns taking the kids to school and the 1st day fell on his day and I still went and we just told the kids that since it was the 1st day, we both wanted to come with them.  We still had the drop off be pretty fast and simple but we stopped to take pics outside of school and one of each of them in their new rooms (kindergarten and PreK).  This was the first drop off my DH has ever been too though as in the past, I did most of the driving due to our schedules.
