Original or Couture belly bandit?

So I didnt get a belly bandit with DD1 but I think Im going to bite the bullet this time around and get one.

For those of you who have used this before, which type do you recommend? Is the couture worth the extra money? What is the actual difference?

Thanks!

Re: Original or Couture belly bandit?

  • I tried to get a deal on the bamboo, but no dice, so I got a "couture" from Target for their daily deal ($35) last night.  I don't think it's going on anymore, but I wouldn't pay more for a design. For the bamboo, yes, but for hearts or lace, no.

  • I think the couture is just the "fancy" designs. Like the PP, I bought it but only because it was the daily deal. I really don't care for paying extra for hearts.

  • I know, I saw today that someone posted yesteerday about the daily deal. I missed it :(.

I agree, I wouldnt pay more for just a design. I mean, who is going to see it anyway? I would pay more for comfort though.

  • I read some online reviews. I'd go with bamboo over the fancy too. Comfortable is important and let's be honest, it's a girdle. Even fancy lace doesn't change that. :

  • Plus, with the Couture, the design is on the INSIDE of it if I'm not mistaken and they aren't reversable, so why pay for your skin to look at Ed Hardy? ...Bamboo yes, breathable & moisture wicking...but you want to spring for something extra, get the BFF. I beleive it's Bamboo PLUS 2 different sections, so you can make the rib-cage area smaller if you have wider hips. helps create and Hour-glass shape. I was jsut researching them last weekend and I read random online reviews, one thing I noticed that was consistant, if you are short waisted, this product isn't good because when you sit down it rides up into your breasts. You only have S, M, L sizes, nothing for torso measurements for us vertically challenged women. for that, and the fact that i'm due 9-17 and I really don't know whast size to go with, I've held off. I did read where 'binding' after birth is populate in Indian cultures and one lady recommended using a wide ace-wrap, like one that's meant for a thigh or that hospitals used after knee surgery. I also had another freidn recommend using one of those velcro workout bands that make you sweat (but the fabric retains that water to be aware of that) and they are super inexpensive. I have an ace wrap packed in my hospital bag and I'll decide on the bandit after I get a better feel for a size, b.c frankly...I'm tired of buying things that say XL, lol.
