Do you wear makeup everyday?

I'm a SAHM. I try to wear "real" clothes every day, because I think it's good for my head to not constantly be in sweats. Plus, I've always had a "rule" that I don't wear sweats out of the house unless I'm going to the gym (or am in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy when nothing else fits on my giant body). But do you put on make-up every day? My make-up routine is simple - just tinted moisturizer, blush stick, mascara, and concealer.

Re: Do you wear makeup everyday?

  • I do, but probably wouldn't if I was a SAHM.  I only wear it because I loathe hearing "are you tired...you look tired" a thousand times a day.

  • I don't ever wear makeup, so I'm probably not good to answer this.  My DH doesn't like it and I don't like waking up early haha

When I am home all day I do try to wear "real" clothes also, just makes me feel better about the day and myself.

  • I rarely wear makeup. Even before children I wasn't a makeup wearer.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
  • I hardly wear make-up, ever.  If I'm going out somewhere that I think requires me to look semi-decent, I'll put on some toner, concealer, bronzer, and maaaybe a little mascara and chapstick.  But then again, I wear sweats and lounge clothes every day, and my hair is always up in a ponytail, so I'm not really concerned with looking my best :P

ETA: I am a SAHM as well.

  • No, but I've never really worn much makeup. I try to put on mascara if I know I'm going to interact with other people (like at the library and playgroup).

  • Only if I'm going somewhere like a mother's group or mommy and me class. If I'm just hanging around the house and going out to walk the dogs or run a quick errand I usually just wear sunglasses and a sunscreen lotion.

  • Before I went on maternity leave I wore it everyday. Lately it is only if I am in the mood to do it in the morning. I think it is because of my change in schedule and honestly at 4:00am I could really careless what I look like. By like 7 I'm regretting thinking that way because the lazy pony tail and no make up is not doing me any favors.

  • If I don't plan on leaving the house I don't. I don't wear a lot of makeup at all so it doesn't take long for me to put it on, but it just seems like a waste of makeup if I'm just going to be home with my kid. He doesn't care. I think if I did wear it every day I would feel better or more normal, but oh well. I don't care enough. Plus, this way I never break out at all since I don't wear make up much, or for very long.

  • If I was a SAHM, I doubt I would wear it.  I don't think I wore it during maternity leave unless we were going out somewhere (and not to like, Target).

  • We have one bum day a week (mon or thurs this fall) and ds1 gets to wear whatever... Pjs, sweats, non matching, wrong season, etc... I wear sweats and no make up and we attempt to not leave the house.

On normal days I wear "real" clothes and make up depends on my feelings/ time... Definitely attempt make up for bible study and church, light make up for soccer play group and errands.

I found having one bum day, I look forward to sweat pants :)

  • I work, but even on days I'm home, I feel better if I get dressed and put some makeup on.
  • I'm a SAHM as well. I don't wear makeup everyday and most days I wear sweats. Postpregnancy I kind of really like how I look with no makeup and am embracing it. I do wish I would put more effort in though but for now I don't care.

  • YES!  I don't even like to look at myself without it on.  Not a ton, but a little eyeliner and mascara goes a long way.  Occasionaly I don't put it on on any given day, but I just feel better if I have it on.

  • I only wear make-up on special occasions...  and my hair is usually up in a bun or pony tail.

  • He|| to the no! I only wear make-up to special functions, get togethers, to a restaurant or when meeting friends. I don't even wear make-up to work.

  • Yes. My mom started putting makeup on me when I was 12. I don't know if I ever saw her without it. If I did, it was rare. Anyway, I was told that I needed to wear makeup and if I didn't, my brothers would make fun of me and my mom would ask me why I didn't put any on. Even now she'll comment if I don't wear very much. She's weird like that.

It has forever scarred me and I always wear makeup. DH tells me I look fine without it, but it has been burned on my brain that I need to "put my face on" in the morning.

  • Most days I wear makeup to work. It takes me about three minutes to apply, a little foundation, powder, dab of eyeshadow, mascara, lipgloss. Some days I get lazy then feel like a haggard old tired lady when I see myself in the bathroom mirror. I cared less before but now I am so tired always from the baby and I feel less attractive so it's worth it to put in the couple minutes so I can feel better about myself at work.

I generally don't wear any at all outside of work unless we are going out to something special.

  • I'm a SAHM and I do.  I'm obsessed though.  I was letting myself go big time for a while, so it's nice to feel pretty again.  What I wear varies, but generally bb cream, concealer, matte powder, brow powder and wax, blush, shadows, liner, and mascara.

  • If I'm going out in public, almost always. When I was on maternity leave, there were lots of days we didn't go anywhere, so I usually wouldn't. Now I'm lucky if there's one day a week where I don't have to. And I won't lie, I realllly didn't wanna get ready sunday, so I did grocery shop with no make up and my hair in a ponytail, praying I wouldn't see anyone I knew!

  • I'm like miniray, I don't wear make up except to special functions (weddings?) and my hair is usually in a ponytail.
