When did your LO switch to one nap?

My DS is 11 months, and this past week or two has started sleeping in till 8-9am, when he used to wake at about 7am. For the last four days he has done one nap at about 1/1:30 and sleeps for 2-3 hrs. Is this his new thing? My older DS didnt transition to one nap till 16/18 months so this seems young to me?

Daycare transitioned him for me at 1, but if he seems fine, than he probably is. What time does he go to bed? I believe they need about 14 hours of sleep at that age, so I would go on total amount.

DD transitioned to one nap around 10 months. Her wake up time wasn't any later, though. She would sleep about 3 hours usually from 123. Once she transitioned, though, her naps started taking place from 111. They've shortened to 2 hours and some days they're even less. We follow her needs/cues. Some days she naps earlier, later, a catnap in the late afternoon, bedtime way early... It works for us and she's happier.

It sounds like he's adjusting to one nap better than mine did. It took us mos 12-13 to transition.

Meh, they're all different. If he's doing okay on the one nap, roll with it. DD switched at 17m and only naps an hour. But she sleeps 12-13 hours overnight, so...I can't complain.

She's in the process of it now. On the days she takes only 1, she goes to bed a little earlier- 30-45 minutes.

ETA: She sleeps 11-11.5 at night, and she naps for about 2 hours total during the day, whether that's one 2 hour nap, or two 1 hour naps.

We are still on 2 naps daily. The times of the naps vary. He can take anywhere from 30min-1hr + for a nap.

Still usually nap 1 is about 2 hrs after initial wake up and nap 2 is about 1-2 hrs after lunch.

Every kid is different. 4 months ago they toyed with the idea of 1 nap a day but it only lasted a week. My boys are just now switching to one nap. One of my sons probably could have switched a month or two ago but I try to keep them roughly on the same sleep schedule. Just watch his sleep cues, just because he's toying with the idea of 1 nap a day doesn't mean it will stick.

She switched from two 45 min. naps to one 2 hour nap at around 10 months. It was a tough few days when she started refusing to nap in the morning, but her afternoon nap wasn't yet two hours.
