Strangers questions *rolling eyes*

So we were at the theater this weekend, and I was waiting inside for dh and our friends. A guy walks up to me, asks when I'm due. I tell him next month.

He asks if I'm nervous, I say no. He asks if I know what to do when the baby cries. I said, yes, don't I shake her to get her to stop?

He didn't have a response for that, he just walked away.

    Good for you!  I get that people try to make conversation but they just don't get it.  I had a bridal shower this past weekend and someone at our table asked if twins run in my family (Oy, here we go) so I said well they do now!  Usually that shuts people up - well not this girl, she kept going!  Are they natural, did you have any treatments?  I was stunned!  It's not that I'm ashamed that it took us 3 IUIs with injectables to get pg, but I didn't feel like getting into it w/these strangers although I'm typically very open about our journey.  Ugh - why can't people just smile and say good luck!?

    That's a great response!  I'm known to use the shock factor as well to stop people from asking too many personal questions.  I'm over talking about my pregnancy with people with people who are just nosy, want to give unsolicited advice or talk gibberish.

    Uggh, I get this too. Again, I'm not at all ashamed but it's none of their f-ing business! 

    My response to the "are they natural?" question is to tell people "no, they're stainless steel, they'll be easier to clean that way"
