Favorite Fall Treat?

There's a vendor at our local farmers' market that sells the most amazing pumpkin whoopie pies. I've tried all sorts of recipes, and I can't quite replicate them. They are just sooo good!!

I picked some up this morning and I'm trying to be good and wait until this evening to share one with DH (they're too rich and too big to eat a whole one!). I don't know if I have enough will power though...

Apple cider. My mom always keeps a pot on the stove during hayrides and the house smells amazing!

JennaM I heard here in upstate NY at Our locat cider mill they aren't even making gallon jugs of cider because of the awful apple season. And grocery stores will be selling them for 8!! Maybe I'll get 1 this year but MIL isn't gonna have her delish and famous cider at her open house this year...

It's the same in Michigan...our apple crop was destroyed At the farmer's market this morning, they only had 1/2 gallon jugs for $4.75!!! Like you, the grocery store has the gallons for $8. I think I'll just get a mug of cider for $1.50 at the coffee shop and call it good for the season.
