Re: What table foods does your LO...

  • DD is an eating machine. We call her our little "bottomless pit of doom". So there aren't too many things she isn't fond of. Mostly things that are a pain to chew with only 4 teeth (like peppers - even cooked, the "skin" is a little hard for her to tear through).

As for favorites, she's your typical kid in that she LOVES bread and pasta. Give her spaghetti and she'll be heaven. She's also a huge fan of grapes, cantaloupe, and watermelon, but I don't think that's what you had in mind when you said "table food".

  • Any fruit, steamed veggies cut into tiny pieces, little tiny pieces of meat, any kind of pasta, potato, sweet potato fries or little pieces of sweet potato, and beans, he loves beans, and hummus on a cracker.

  • Dd loves everything pretty much. She can put away 3 large meatballs easily. She likes most meats. Taco meat is a big hit. Avocado is one of her faves. I've introduced her to flautas(I take it apart), Spanish rice, puertorican(sp?) rice. Mac n cheese and I mix peas or broccoli in it. I've started giving her those steamer bag meals too. She does not like any kind of lunch meat. She won't eat cheese unless it's in grilled cheese. She's not a fan off waffles and so far the only fruit she will eat is banana and blue berries.
  • There is nothing DD doesn't like, I am very lucky in that sense. Favorites are cheese and blueberries...I think, she doesn't tell me;)

  • He used to like broccoli and eggs, but recently started throwing them on the floor.

He loves cheese, and gets grilled cheese sandwiches quite often.

For plain ol' fruits and veggies, watermelon, blueberries, sweet potato, kiwi, banana...

  • SHE LOVES FOOD!  I think she loves meatballs more than life itself.  She's never turned down any fruit that I've given her.

She's hit or miss on whether or not she eats a lot of veggies one day she eats them, the next day, no.  So I've been getting creative with working them in with other foods like eggs and quesadillas and grilled cheese sandwiches

The only thing we have given her that she consistently dislikes and will not eat are string beans and cold pasta salad noodles.   Rough, because green beans are one of the few veggies that DH really likes and we have them a couple times a week.

  • I wished my LO loved food as much as everyone else's on here.

She's pretty much a fruitarian right now. Has no interest in pasta, bread or mashed potatoes. Its blueberries, bananas, watermelon, apples, pears, raisins and grapes and not much else. She'll eat a couple of tablespoons and be done, its really frustrating because she's in desperate need of getting some weight on her. Cheerios were a hit for a while but now she's throwing them and any dry cracker type foods on the floor, she's starting to be okay with meat.

I'm trying to get her to gain weight at the moment but she doesn't like avocados or cheese so I've been giving her peanut butter and tator tots because she'll eat them. I've been very hippy crunchy organic since she was born but I've got one month to get some weight on her or my pedi is going to have her go through a ton of tests to make sure her GI tract and digestive system are okay, so right now if she wanted a big mac I'd give it to her. Okay maybe not but I'll gladly give her tator tots and peanut butter all day if it means she avoids those tests.

  • If it's on a plate, A wants to try it. Even better if it is dipped in ketchup
