Shoes

Just not happy with what I'm finding in the stores for DD--her comment was "mom, I'm not a baby anymore" which I guess means she wants big girl shoes.  I however am very traditional and love the Mary Janes :-)  Her feet are wide which also poses a problem--and size 11.5.  We've tried all the basic stores--Stride Rite, Marshalls, Payless, Famous Footwear.  This week I'm going to TJMaxx, JC Penney and Sears.  What websites do you shop?

    We've had good luck at Penneys Target and Sears, but we buy shoes in person and DD normally picks them. Lots of sparkles and pink but I'll nix anything over the top.

    I'm so unhappy with the shoe selection for girls at this age.  First off, heels?  Really?  They just instantly make me so upset that they're in stores in little girl sizes!!  I've found that Sears and Nordstroms have the best selection of age appropriate but still cute shoes for little girls.

    Stride Right has some adorable sneakers that are all sparkly and look like Mary Janes.  My 4 1/2 year old got a pair (she has narrow feet so the opposite of your DD) and just loves them.  My older DD got an adorable pair of pink high top sneaker with fake jeweles on them at Target that we love.  Both also have Twinkle Toes which are all the rage.  I had to laugh at a birthday party this weekend - kids ranged in age for 3 to 7 and about 75% had different sytles of Twinkle Toes on (we got them at Kohl's)

    I usually go to Journey Kids, but we do over the top. DD has a pair of black sparkle toms, sketcher light up twinkle toes, and black and pink Nike high tops. I have gotten good deals at once upon a child.
