Best formula for reflux?

DS has reflux and just started on Zantac. We switched from Similac advance to sensitive a week ago but didn't know if there was a better formula out there for reflux.

    We just switched to the gentle stuff today. Still need a day to see if it makes a dif. She's been grunting a lot. Anyways enfamil has a.r. for reflux but check with your doc. It has cereal in it to make it thicker. Zantak should be enough. DS was on that and gentle for 8 months and he did fine. DD is on the same now too. Reflux sucks the big one. Good luck.

    ds#1 had severe reflux.  the only formula that worked was the similac alimentum (much more expensive, but completely worth it).

    ~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

    It is milk based, but the proteins are broken down more.  You could try Enfamil Gentlease.  If you end up really needing alimentum your pedi may be able to write you a script and insurance sometimes will cover or partially cover the cost because it is that much more expensive.
