My daughter is 10 months old and she hates baths!!! Any suggestions?
Before she became too big (long) for the infant tub, she loved them (splashing & laughing). Now she'll scream and cry and until it's over. I've tried being in the bath with her, without her, with the plastic infant tub in the big tub, an inflatable tub, getting water ready while in the tub already, and getting water ready before she gets in. There's always bath toys too.
Re: Hates Baths
When DD was a baby, she was really sensitive to sounds. She didn't like the loud sound of the water running. Also didn't like water in her eyes or ears.
If she's fighting, I would just do it as quick and easy as possible. So for me, that would be in the kitchen sink. Clean it. Plop him in, spray/wipe him down and then out. Try the bath thing in a few days/ weeks. Maybe she will forget what ever bad connotation she has.
This. Especially with the toys only for bath time... my lo has three ducks, we only let him play with them in the bath and make him let go or drop them before we take him out.
Sorry, I obviouly worded it funny. Since she out grew her infant tub, I've been putting her in the big tub. Sometimes with the infant tub to see if it made a difference, didn't. I tried an inflatable tub that goes in the big tub, didn't work.
I wonder if it's the walls of the tub that freak her out. Last night she started crying before I put her in, so it's not the temperature. Although, temperature could've been wrong before and she might be going off of that.
Thanks for your suggestions!!
