Have you ever used a female condom?

As I've mentioned before my practicum (internship, whatever you want to call it) is as a sex advisor on campus. This was especially hilarious when I was 8+ months pregnant giving advice on which condoms were best for each student (there is a Q+A at the end of each session). I LOVE this program. We talk about female condoms--people act like they have never even heard of such a thing, let alone used them. SO have you? Do you have a preference over m/f?

I've never used a female condom. Only male condoms. I would try one though. I don't think they're very popular in my area, I don't know anyone who uses one. For anyone who has used one, what's it like? Also, is it latex-y or what? Heck, I haven't even seen one before.

I've never used one, but I did get one for free once in college. And of course the first thing we did was break open the package to see what it was like. It looked pretty awkward to use. I wasn't really interested. That was 10 years ago, so there might have been some improvements made since.

Haha smudgee! And because we talk about them we have one and a plastic/rubbery vagina that we demo it with. It isnt latex so its good if you have allergies. Also, it is supposed to be inserted much before intercourse so it can heat up and it apparently is much less noticeable than a male condom. But yeah..despite all the perks i still dont think id ever try it

I actually have one in my glove box. (Ok, that sounds SUPER dirty when talking about female condoms!) DH went to a beer event where they were handing them out. We have yet to try it.

I have, and I demonstrated one (in my hand!) for a sex ed class. I know what you mean, people who had heard of them were all, "They still make those?"

I would use it again, but H would not. He said he'd rather do pull out and pray than use any type of condom. I am doing the femcap, plus I crossed my fingers and yelled, "No baby!" after we had sex for the first time PP last week.
