Marinara sauce from restaurant?

Hi!  I make LOs food mostly. We're going out to lunch today with family and I'm wondering if I can mix in some of the marinara sauce from whatevr I order with baby's pastini.   I haven't given her tomatoe sauce yet nd I rea how the acidity could be too much for her.  So maybe I take some carrot puree and mix in a little marinara.
Think it's ok to do? I wanted her to feel part of the meal that everyone else is eating :)

  • I've given DD food off my plate at restaurants all the time without a 2nd thought about it. She loves pasta with marinara sauce.

  • DD eats pasta with tomato sauce somewhat frequently.  She always does fine and loves it.

  • We've fed DD everything we eat since 8 months old, including any and all restaurant food when we go out.

  • DS loves tomatoes. When I've done pasta sauce (just the kind in a jar so far) I've only mixed about a spoonful with his pasta so it's barely coated.

  • I've heard that cooked tomatoes don't have as much acidity as raw.

  •  I also feed DD anything and everything off of my plate (minus peanut butter or honey). I wouldn't give it another thought and it should be just fine!
