Thoughts on Savannah

We don't even have a list yet for this baby and are team green, but just for fun, thoughts on Savannah? I've always kind of liked it, but DH isn't a big fan. I like possible NN Annie. Wondering if I should put it on my "guilty pleasure" list.

My concerns are that it could be...

kind of white trashy?

dated?

flash-in-the-pan trendy from a few years ago? 

Or...do you have positive thoughts?

Not sure it fits well with our other two, who have more classic names:

Katherine Rose & Evan Joseph.

MN would be Jane.

    I like Savannah, but if your DH isn't down I'd nix it. Especially if you're just gonna call her Annie. How about just Annie or Anna?

    I like Savannah, but since your DH doesn't like it, I would scratch it off the list.

    I do like Annie Jane and think it makes a nice double name!

    Pretty - but I don't really see it nicknaming to Annie.

    Savannah has always been my favorite girl name. Beautiful. It's become pretty trendy though so I'm not sure if I actually get a girl if I will still have it as my favorite girl name.

    Another vote for Savannah! I don't like the nn Annie for Savannah, though. I would just go with Anna for the nn Annie.

    Not the biggest fan of Savannah, dated to me. Absolutely can't stand Annie (long story with that one), but reminds me of little orphan Annie too. I like Anna.

    Our first choice was Savannah. But I loved Anna with the nn Annie, so we just decided to drop the beginning. I think it's adorable though!

    I love the name Savannah. And Savannah Jane sounds really nice for a toddler and adult.

     I am not a fan of using a nickname though. Its a pretty name all on its own.

    Honestly, I don't care for it at all. 

    I do think it's a bit trashy & dated. I also seem to categorize it as "stripper friendly).

    Katherine Rose & Evan Joseph seem more classic to me. 

    What about something like: Annika or Anastasia with the NN Annie/Anne?

    I like it (more than I should, given a few semi-personal factors), but since your husband isn't a fan, I'd tuck it away for a pet or a story.

    I like Savannah, but not the nn Annie with it. I'd just go with Anne or Annabelle or Annelise if I were going to use Annie.

    I think if you like the nickname Annie, go for Anneliese/Anna. I think either option goes better with your other children's names than Savannah does. Not a Savannah fan regardless though for the reasons you listed.
