1st day of Kindergarten was great

My DD loved her 1st day of kindergarten yesterday! She was a little clingy at drop off to the before care program but was totally fine about 2 seconds later and the before care teacher told me she had no issues the rest of the morning or moving to her full day kindergarten class. I saw her teacher at pickup and she told me she had a really good day. I am so excited that the 1st day is past and we can now settle into a routine. My DD will have her special ed/speech assessment sometime in the next few weeks and then start any services she needs to help her keep up with her peers. So excited to see my DD soar this year!

Wow -- that sounds great! My kids started on 8/27, and I'm just now starting to feel that sense of "being in the routine."
I'm glad your DD's first day went so well!
That's wonderful! Isn't such a good feeling knowing that they love school?
My son just started Kindergarten this past week and I was so nervous when he got on that bus. When he got off of the bus in the afternoon he said, "Mom! It was AWESOME!" I had the biggest smile on my face.
