Ohio woke up to fall weather today, so I want to cook some awesome comfort food for dinner tonight. Only catch is our oven isn't working!! (Which stinks because I'm feeling pretty good today and would love to be baking right now!) What would you suggest to cook all day either on the stove or in the crock pot? I'm not feeling creative right now haha!
Re: Comfort food dinner suggestions, please! :)
I'm in Ohio too and I am thinking pot roast. I make mine on the stovetop, cooked on low for hours with Italian seasoning and a little red wine (the alcohol all cooks off, of course). This is the recipe I use and it is super delish: https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/pot_roast/

Ooo, both of those sound good!! What's crazy is that I'm Hungarian, and I've never made goulash!!
I think I've decided on crock pot beef stroganoff. Yum.

Hey, pretty girl, it feels so right,
All wrapped up in my arms so tight
Hey, pretty girl, it feels so right
Life's a long and winding ride
Better have the right one by your side
And happiness don't drag its feet
Time moves faster than you think
Did you mean me?

It's not exactly healthy but it does fall under the "comfort food" category!
Thanks, everyone!! By the time I got home from the store, it was too late to put anything in the crock pot, so we just had tacos instead haha! But, I will be making comfort food all week!
P.S. I know we were talking about Chipotle last night. Made this rice for the first time tonight with the tacos. YUM!! Tasted JUST LIKE Chipotle's rice!
