Addie's Quick and crazy birth story

Yesterday wa such a whirlwind! I had my regular OB appt yesterday at 3 and was still at 1 cm have been since 33 weeks when I wa put on bedrest for pTL. The doctor seemed positive I was going to make it to my csection date at the end of the month bc she is breech. I'm not going to lie, I was a bit discouraged because I have had miserable back pain and my right arm had gone numb...but i knew she needed more time to cook.

DH and I went to try a new Mexican food restaurant in town and when we got home around 8:30 I took a bath. Within 10 minutes my Lower belly only started cramping horribly like I had tummy issues. I tried going to the bathroom with some success but it was not pretty and sitting on the toilet was miserable. I was sure i just needed to go to the bathroom because the pain didn't go away but sure enough it eventually let up. The pain immediately started coming back every 23 minutes and it was awful. After 10 minutes I went back to the bathroom and noticed some fluid but thought I peed since it wasn't a ton. A few minutes later a lot more came out. We decided to head out ASAP and within seconds my shorts were soaked through.

We made it to the hospital 15 minutes later aroun 9:15, got checked within 10 because I was in so much pain and breech. I was at 6cm! I couldn't believe it. I had been having contractions for an hour only and I progressed so fast. I was begging for them to hurry up and when I said I felt like I had to push, they did. I was in the OR getting my spinal 5 minutes later and Adelaide Quinn was born at 10:19 pm.

She is 3 weeks early but is a healthy 6 pounds 11 oz and 19.25 inches long. Her blood sugars were low at birth and she wasn't showing interest in breast feeding so we had To give her formula. It took 4 hours for me to finally get to hold my precious girl but it was all worth it and she is finally getting the hang of breast feeding.

If all goes as planned We should go home Monday. The Csection was easy and Im feeling pretty good 12 hours after. It happened so fast that it was seriously hard to process it. I'll post pictures soon.
