I saw in the Halloween post that you will be going to Disney for Halloween. We're considering doing a "first bday trip" there with some free flights we've got in early December. We are getting bad feedback from people that it will be a nightmare to go with a 1-year-old, but I still think it will be fun and DH and I will remember it as our firstly family trip even though DS won't remember it.
Do you have anything specific planned? Any tips?
Our main thing is that we are worried about how expensive the cost of the parks will be so just trying to determine if we can afford it especially since we're saving for a down payment on our next house.
Thanks in advance for any tips/feedback!
Re: *motang*
I think a first birthday trip to Disney sounds like lots of fun! I don't think it will be a nightmare. Lots of my friends have LOs and they have brought them to Disney with no problems. I think you should do it if you and your husband are wanting to do it and you have the money.
As for tickets, they are expensive. I think it's about $89 for adults. (Your LO will be free.) Since we are FL residents we get a discount and the option for seasonal passes, so that's what we are doing. I know there are ways to get deals, but I'm not privy to them. Sorry.
All I know is don't buy tickets from some booth on the side of the road in Orlando. They are everywhere and there's always a catch! You can buy tickets for multiple days (ex: 3 day ticket) and that always works out to be much cheaper than buying a new ticket every day. Definitely do that if you plan on going to multiple parks for multiple days. I put a link to where you can see ticket prices. It'll give you an idea of what you'd have to spend.
As for tips, I'm not sure yet since I haven't done this with my LO yet. I can let you know after my trip if you're still interested. I'm sure there will be lots of things I learn.
We plan on doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and hitting all of the parks.
Sorry if I wasn't much help... I hope you guys get to go though. I think it will be a fun vacation for your family!
