Baby scared of new people?

I didn't think this was supposed to happen for awhile. Every single time someone new picks up baby girl, she takes one look at them, then proceeds to poke out her bottom lip and start wailing. She gets tears and her face turns red. This just started happening a couple weeks ago, but it's happened with quite a few people. As soon as I put my face in front of hers and let her grab my finger she stops crying and it turns to a wimper. Then, I just take her and she's fine! She just looks at me like, 'hi mom!' I thought seperation anxiety wasn't supposed to happen until around 9 months? Or, is it just people she doesn't see very often that scares her? Anyone else's baby doing this?

    My LO does this from time to time. I'm not sure what it's all about.

    My LO does exactly the same thing. She's happy with me or DH but the moment someone new pick her up or starts talking to her she starts wailing.
    When we get her attention again the crying stops and she's happy again.
    Made for a really fun family reunion last weekend ;)

    Just the opposite. I could probably hand my girl to anyone and, as long as she's getting attention from someone, she's a happy little kidlette.
