I shouldn't be taking LO out to stores or anything yet, but I had to run to a local family owned flooring store really quick this morning. Our house flooded and insurance is waiting for us to pick our new flooring so I just wanted to pop in to see what they had. Its a really small store and I went right when they opened so there would be no one else in there.
Anyways- I told the guy that worked there what I was looking for and he showed me to the flooring. While im browsing the flooring he's looking at LO in the carrier. He makes a few "WOW look how tiny he is!" comments. I explained to him that hes a preemie, bla bla bla...the guy wouldn't drop it!! He talked to me more about how little Bennett is than flooring. He couldn't stop saying things like "WOW he's so tiny" "How much do you think he weighs?" He was in awe of how little he is. The guy even called over every freaking employee of the store ( there were only three or four there) to show them how little my LO is. That pissed me off! Im trying to pick out a flooring and the guy that's supposed to be helping me is telling other employees "Hey linda, come look at how tiny this baby is!" The lady was like "Oh hang on let me go wash my hands" Ummm I'm not going to let you hold him, woman! I booked it out of there as fast as I could. I was so irritated though. I get that he's tiny, but there was no need to make such a HUGE deal out of it and call all the employees over to look at my little baby. My goodness thanks for making my first experience out with him a bad one. -vent over- lesson learned. I'm not taking LO anywhere!
Re: vent- Thanks for making my first trip out with LO an unenjoyable one.

Imagine this with 2 babies. It's annoying enough to get stopped because I have twins. It's more annoying when they see them and tell me how little they are. They are 8 weeks today. DD is in newborn clothes but her feet are tiny like her mommy's and she still wears preemie socks. DS is in between newborn and 0-3 (depending on the brand) but has normal newborn size feet. Last week I had someone ask if they were newborn (under 4 weeks). When I told him they were 7 weeks he looked completely amazed and confused. Another woman was also confused when I told her their age and said...but her feet are so tiny.
I learned that day that foot size determines your age. Good lesson to learn. lol
