Sorry if this has been asked, but I have not been on in quite a while. Does anyone let LO sleep with a small, thin security blanket? DD is 5 months. She has been sleeping horribly at night - gets up at least every hour and has been for probably 2 months. During the day if she takes a nap but has her Aden & Anais thin swaddling blanket, she clinches on to it and passes out great. At night I don't give it to her because I'm obviously sleeping and can't keep a close eye on her. I don't feel comfortable giving her a big swadding blanket even though it's thin, but has anyone given their LO one of those small Aden & Anais security blankies or anything similar? When I look this up online, they say no blankets until 12 months old...dumb question...does that include the tiny security blankets? TIA!
Re: Sleep with security blanket?
I've been letting DS sleep with his taggy for a couple weeks now. It's one of the small ones and he likes to rub it against his face as he's falling asleep. He always throws his arms out when he's asleep and the taggy is never next to his face anymore when I check on him.
My kid sleeps with a blanket, blanket. Not like a down comforter or anything, but a semi-thick gymboree blanket. He won't sleep without one, even if he is wearing a sleep sack. I'm not worried.
Long story short, I think your LO is fine.
No flames from me, do what works! It just didn't work for us.
