So yesterday I went to my 39 week appointment, expecting nothing unusual and to be back in the office in a week. I had high blood pressure and protein in my urine and my DR said my blood pressure was so high she was sending me to Labor and Delivery and she would be very surprised if I went home that night without being induced. I asked if I should make my appointment for next week while I am in the office and she told me no, not to even worry about it because it won't be necessary.
I know I am only 39 weeks but I was so excited. I start going over the list of people to call etc etc and head over to L&D. I got checked in there, got a hep-lock in my hand and everything was starting to get set in motion. I am sitting in the room for about an hour after filling out all the necessary paper work and the nurses come in and tell me the DR has changed her mind and I am getting sent home even though I am preclampsia. She said I need to be on bedrest for the weekend and come back on Monday so see how I am doing.
Needless to say I am a little upset because she was so sure I was going to meet my daughter that day and then just changed her mind. I don't mind waiting until after my due date to get induced but it doesn't seem very fair to tell a pregnant woman you are going to induce her and then change your mind. Now I have to sit here all weekend and worry about my blood pressure...
