Finally!

DH and I are scheduled to have our orientation for Foster Care licensing on October 10th.... Three days after my 25th birthday!

And you know what else seems to be divine intervention? The person leading the orientation and handing out the initial paperwork used to work with my husband. She laughed and was so excited when I told her DHs name. A personal connection! Maybe with this, working straight with DCS for awhile won't be so daunting.

    Hi Jellybean! I'm a total newbie here, but already noticed we have something in common. My husband and I are licensed foster parents that are adoption motivated. This is surely a nervous time for you, and it will only keep getting moreso through the process! It's a long, rocky, emotional experience, but things work out in the end. We just adopted our first child earlier this year!!! Wishing you the best of luck!
