I had a c-section with my son because he was breech. He'll be 3 in December and this baby is due in February. It's actually my preference to have a repeat, but I'm really curious as to how the recovery will go. I'm not worried about having to care for my son during the recovery because my fiance and his family will be there to help. My first recovery went well; I was out and about 2 weeks PP. I'm curious to know if people's 2nd recovery was easy/the same/harder than their first if the pregnancies and delivery were healthy.
Re: Has anyone had a repeat c-section?
My second c/s was a failed vbac. Neither of my recoveries was difficult, despite hours and hours of labor before the surgeries. I felt great and didn't take any drugs outside of the hospital.
The only thing I found difficult was not being able to pick up my 1 year old. However, you probably won't pick up your 3 year old as often as a 1 year old.
I've had 2 repeat c-sections and will have my 3rd repeat end of September.
My first was breech. When I got PG with my 2nd, I was all set to VBAC (did NOT want a repeat c) until I found out that the 2nd was breech as well. With my 3rd, I had no choice, and now with my 4th, I, again, have no choice. So, 4 c-sections it is.
My recoveries have all been fantastic. Hope this one is as good........
