The family wants to go see The Odd Life of Timothy Green. I'm a little bit worried about the noise level / stimulation for LO. Anyone else take baby to a movie yet?? How did it go for you??
OH, Linc is almost 4 months old.

DH and I brought Owen to like 8 movies already. We always go to uncrowded matinee's. We have brought him to some action movies, in which I cover his ears (he leans against my chest in the moby, I cover the outer ear with the moby and my hand). Regular movies like the one you might see aren't so loud, and he always sleeps right through. The only thing is, now that he's getting older, I'm getting less confident about him sleeping through so we have been going a lot less, but as a newborn it was a great way to get a date in!
I just took DS last weekend. We all wanted to do something as a family so we gave it a shot. I BF so once DS starting fussing in the movie I put him on the boob and he fell asleep for the majority of it. The noise didn't seen to bother him.
My personal opinion is that movie theatres are WAY too loud for babies. We won't be taking our until they are old enough to actually see a movie and enjoy it.

Same here. My baby is fine with various types of background noise, but sudden loud noises really startle and upset her. Movies in the theater are so loud. I would never put her through that just so that we could see a movie. I'll wait til she's older.
I would never take my DD to a movie right now. She would be way too overstimulated, plus she fights sleep so she would end up fussing and crying from being overtired.
Get a sitter.i always think about other people who pay for the movie that choose not to have kids etc cause they dont want to deal with the fussing. Wait till they get older and can enjoy it.
I think this is one of those things that every mom has very strong opinions on. We've done it. but I think if you go you need to be prepared to leave the theater if LO gets fussy. If it's a movie you really want to see. I would wait till it's available to rent
