He's heeeeeeere! PIPs

Beckett Austin is here! 9/6/12 at 3:17pm 8lbs 6ozs 21"  

My water broke at 3:30am, went into the hospital by 8 with weak contractions, 2cm. They got stronger but I was not dilating so they started pitocin around 12. By 1:30 I thought I was dying and was at 4cm (thank the lawd)  so I got my epidural. Within an hour I was at 7cm and when they checked 30 min later she felt his head and had me lay on my side so he didn't come out! Ran and got the doc and he was born 1 big push later at 3:17. 1st degree tear. Nursing like a champ. So stinkin' cute.

 

Big sister Lucy was a little hesitant but I think she will come around :)

 

 

I was less than 2cm and 50% effaced at my appointment day before my water broke so things can certainly progress fast. Who knows if it really did anything but I went for a walk that evening, tried the lower leg pressure point on and off that evening and then had sex that night before bed.

 

Happy September everyone! :) Can't wait to see all the 9/2012 LOs.
