How to start.. Well, I'm 11 weeks pregnant and had an episode in the grocery store where I almost passed out. I was standing in line waiting to check out and all of the sudden I broke out in a cold sweat, got light headed and my vision started to blur. I made it to a bench and checked my pulse after a bit and it was a little over 100. Years ago I had a couple episodes like this and had a cardiac evaluation. The outcome was me taking a medication to help keep my heart rate down. Has anyone had episodes like this? I plan on calling the doctor, but was wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

    When I started my second trimester I began getting pretty bad dizzy spells and passing out. I called my doctor the first time it happened and she said that it is very normal and only to be concerned if I landed on my stomach or if the dizzy spells were accompanied by severe adominal pains or bleeding.

    Hope that helps. If it persists I would ask the doctor to check for anemia.
