I'm going to visit the area in about a week and was looking for good trails to hike with an almost 5 month old. I have a Boba. Looking glass rock looks really cool, but I'm afraid it might be too difficult with front carrying. Both my DH and I area experienced hikers and backpackers and suggestions for hikes with great views?

NC mama here but not familiar with Asheville sadly.

Unless your kiddo is really on the small size, you probably can do the back carry in the Boba now. Or see if you can drum up a mei tai or a woven wrap to do a high back carry with. I think you'll enjoy the hike more if you have a back carry option

That's great to know. I'm gonna try out putting him on the back carry today when my husband gets home. I'll see how he likes it. He can sit up really well when supported and can balance on his own for a few seconds, so he might be ready.
