First Fall Weekend!

Labor day is over, so I guess this makes this the first fall weekend.  Anyone have any fun plans?

Not too much here.  Farmers' market and football pretty much sums it up!

    We're having both our families over tomorrow for some kayaking on the bay and a BBQ.  H and I are participating the Tough Mudder race on Sunday (https://toughmudder.com) and I'm slightly terrified! I'm pretty sure I won't be able to move on Monday.

    Fun plans ladies! I miss fall in the States! We will be spending our weekend primarily unpacking and getting our house more organised in anticipation of possible visitors (I'm practically begging family to come visit, lol)

    I also am planning a little weekend trip to the outer islands that off the coast of Scotland. Now that we found a great boarder for Max, I feel comfortable leaving him overnight.

    Rockychrysler- good luck in the Tough Mudder, they seem like so much fun!

      We're going to the zoo.  We try to go once a year and I prefer to go later than earlier in the season hoping to beat the heat and large crowds.  DD has been talking about the zoo for months but doesn't know we're going yet (I save those type of announcements for a few hours before they happen) so she's going to be so excited.  I hope baby DS enjoys it too although I expect his favorite part will just be the stroller ride!  :)  Happy Fall everyone!

      I have to work Saturday morning. Other than that not sure. The following 2 weekends are craft fairs!!! Yayy!!

      We're having DS's 9 month portraits done... honestly, I just feel a little giddy to think (hope) that these super hot days may be coming to an end soon!

      I have to work this evening. Tomorrow DH is using the day to catch up on yard chores like installing window well covers and stuff. So me and DS will probably just do a lot of playing outside. Maybe a little housework. Tomorrow evening we invited some friends over to grill and go in the hot tub after the kiddos are in bed. Sunday...football. Probably enjoy a few beers.

      Having recently moved we *should* spend Saturday getting the house in order (or getting the old house cleared out since we got an offer on it) but I think I'm going to try to convince DH that we should work in time for a hike.  Some of the leaves are starting to turn already and it's so pretty.

      Thank you! It's a Texas beach, so not as awesome as it sounds, but better than no beach ;-)
