Sign language book suggestions?

I am interested in teaching LO sign language - and I got a bunch of DVDs for my work baby shower (Signing times) - which are awesome but I don't want to watch them w/ him until he is older. I noticed that when I read him a book these days, he is totally fascinated and actually has the attention span to look at me and the pictures and is very interested (which is so cool!) I also noticed that when I make hand gestures, he REALLY loves it. I've made a few signs (milk, for example) while reading If you give a mouse a cookie to him this afternoon and he loved it! I am wondering if there is a book out there that has cues for parents/kids to sign along w/ the words? Something I can read and sign to him at the same time w/ having a limited sign language vocabulary would be awesome :)

  • I used to sign Green Eggs and Ham to my students, but I it was hard to do at first.  Dr. Seuss is good because the words are repeated often when the little one get older.

I don't know ASL so I need something with the signs AND the words, if that makes any sense. I'm sure there are books like this out there rt?

  • i'm planning on only teaching her a few words so i'm not doing any books. they really only need to know things like, please and thankyou, milk, hungry, more and tired. i used to work at a daycare and one little girl knew sign language and the rest of the kids picked it up in just a few days.

  • I haven't done it while reading, but so far I'm using a few words and will work more in when I start getting the hang of it. This is the book I got about it, not sure if that is what you are looking for though. Book
