Planned CS

I had an unplanned CS with my first, now my Dr. wants to do a planned CS with #2. Am I correct in assuming that he will set the date before my actual due date as to limit the risk of me going into labor first? I will ask at my next appointment, but I am curious. When was your planned CS in relation to your actual due date?

    My doctor schedules RCS for 39 weeks.

    My doctor will schedule mine between 39 and 40 weeks. I'm due Jan 8th, so it will be scheduled sometime between Jan 2nd and the 7th (the 1st is a holiday so it won't be scheduled then, if I go into labor before my scheduled day the on-call doctor will do the C-section)

    If my previa doesn't clear up and I have no choice but to do the RCS it will be scheduled for 38 weeks. I'm really hoping for a VBAC though! Smile

    My doc gave me the choice of dates from 39 weeks to my due date.

    Mine was the day before my due date but I had wanted a VBAC.  But I had an incredible c-section experience and recovery so I'm actually really glad we did it at 39w6d.

    They scheduled mine 4 days ahead of duedate...and I went early on my own. Had DD2 16 days before scheduled CS.

    Mine is sched for 38 weeks. That was the closest he could get to my due date, apparently I pick busy times to give birth.

    Usually they plan 8-10 days before your due date.. This will be my 4th CS.. my first was Emergency my 2nd was planned.. My 3rd I had a planned date and I went 3 weeks earlier due to other problems. I am hoping this time I make it to my planned date since I do have problems again.
     Looks like we are due around the same time :-)
