How much do I tip?

in September 2011 Moms
I booked family photot's/Alice's first birthday pictures for next weekend. This is my first time with a professional photographer. I'm assuming I tip her right? How much? Thanks gals :)

    The only time I tipped my prof photographer was at my wedding...I have used one multiple times since and to my knowledge, you don't tip. But I could be wrong so maybe I need to be educated lol

    You don't have to tip. 

    Now, if the photog were throw something additional in for you (say, an extra outfit change, spending more than the time allotted, or family photos when these things weren't requested by you in the beginning), it wouldn't be a bad idea.

    We tipped 20 for Bo's newborn shoot and look where it got me!
    That is twenty percent! Stupid bump mobile!

    On our contract it says that gratuity is appreciated..I'm not sure how much to tip either tho...
