Dear Yeast, let's not meet again

My poor baby has a terrible yeast rash for the 2nd time now :( I hate it. It took so long to clear up the first time and it's even worse now... Has anyone else's babe had a yeast rash? I really hope not, but if so what was your treatment?

    I have a friend who did this: She mixed together equal parts of desitin, hydrocortisone cream, and an OTC anti-fungal cream. She said it works wonders. You may want to check with your pedi, but I know it worked for her.

    Coconut oil is also a natural anti-fungal and really moisturizing.

    Ugh, we dealt with yeast for a while. It went away, we stopped treatment, then it came back a couple days later. I read that the yeast can linger for up to 5 days after the rash looks like it is gone. So we continued treatment for a week or two after the rash cleared up. Also I washed her clothes and other cloth stuff with a cup of apple cider vinegar per load to kill any yeast there.

    At first we alternated between the prescription of nystatin and clotrimazole. When it came back we were out of nystatin so we only used clotrimazole. We dabbed desitin over the antifungal ointment too.
