Guardian question

Have all of you decided on who will be guardians for your children? Have you decided on a family member or a close friend? We are going with our close friends bc there is something about each of my siblings that I'm not comfortable leaving my child to them. I would leave her to my parents but they are getting older.

Yup. We're leaving LO with my sister and her husband. They have three kids, and the youngest one just turned two, so LO wouldn't be the odd child out.

It was between my sister and DH's sister. In the end, we chose my sister because she has kids and DH's sister does not, and will remain child free.

we have been trying to figure this out. it's between my brother and his fiance (getting married next month) or my fiance's brother and his wife.

I think we are leaning towards my fiance's brother because while they don't have kids yet (my brother's fiance does) they seem to have more of the same morals and values that we do and we think that they would raise our son the closest to how we would.

and also (i feel kinda shallow about this) My fiance's brother has more money than mine does, so I know in the situation that they would take custody of our son it will be easier for them fiancially than it would be for my brother and his family.

We just haven't figured out how to talk to them about it yet because it's a weird situation to talk about.
