Re: UO Thursday!

  • I think there is absolutely no excuse for women that have 4-5 year old children, and STILL have baby weight on them. They then complain about how they are fat and can't fit in anything, and have to resort to wearing the dreaded "mom jeans".
    Well-- get up off your ass and do something about it!

    WHOA! I don't remember my UO now. Not into those one bit!

  • This is in response to all the first day of school posts on Facebook.

    I hate when people spend a ton of money on fancy, designer clothes for young kids even if they can afford it. I think it is wasteful and teaches your child to be materialistic.

    Don't get me wrong, the occasional fancy pants outfit for a special occasion is great but not for every day.

    child to be materialistic. I kind of agree with you but sometimes I can't help myself. I know it's wasteful and bad but I get some sort of high when shopping for dd. I need help. For her baptism I bought her a faux fur coat to go with her dress(also expensive) and it turned out to be unseasonably warm that day and she never even wore it. I have serious guilt over that purchase.

  • I'm really hate this mobile site! I tried to quote 5953 and it didn't work. Anyways, I agree it is super wasteful but I can't help myself when it comes to shopping. I spend entirely too much on clothing for the kids. For dd baptism I bought this faux fur coat to go with her dress(also expensive) and the day turned out to be unseasonably warm and she's never even worn it. I have major guilt for that one. The sad thing is I didn't return it because I have an attachment to it. I need help for reals.

    Hahaha, just got my nails did, love it!

    To go along with this...I don't like the term "mani pedi."  Every time I see something pop up in my Facebook feed (and it's at least weekly) that says "mani pedi time!" or some variation of that, I squirm.  Just say you are getting your nails done!

     Could not agree with you more, eesome! There is no excuse for this. I gained 66# with DS. I was ashamed and embarrassed at how big I'd gotten (I am 5'2" and was 120# PP.) As soon as he was born I worked my a$$ off - literally - and was back to my PP weight by the time he was 7 months old.

    I remembered mine after going out for a walk;

    It's so annoying for someone to ride horses past my house. I live in a small farming town, but I am in town! There is horse poop all up and down my road and a big pile in front of the sidewalk that is next to our house! I don't know why someone thought it would be fun to ride their horses on the pavement in town. Grrrrr.

  • I still have 10 lbs of baby weight. Part of it is me and part of it is medication. I know that if I forced myself to, I could probably lose the weight (it's harder to lose with the medication but not impossible). I can't blame A for that
  • Yikes! I'm really sorry if my post came off like that. I did not mean to offend anyone or hurt feelings.
