Today has been craptastic

I feel so bad because today it T's birthday, but so far it has completely sucked.
First, she pulled my camera off the table and it landed directly on her forehead. Now she has a huge bruise.
Then I posted two pictures of her the day she was born and my SIL told me I was embarrassing her for being emotional about T turning one. Plus, all my inlaws keep calling her taytay and not Taylor, which is petty but is seriously pissing me off. I can't stand DH's family sometimes...most of the time.
And to top it off, I got called in to work 3 to 9 tonight. Ugh.
I really hope tonight after work is better.

Why are you letting all of that little stuff ruin your and T's day??

The only thing I see actually worth being annoyed about is having to work.... Other than that, your day shouldn't be that crappy.

You need to shake everything else off and focus on how special today is! Who cares if your ILs call her TayTay...You gave her the strong name of Taylor whichI know you are extremely oroud of. Your SIL can zip it when it comes to tell you about embarassment! IMO, If I were her I would be embarassedf to talk like that to my SIL and make a degrading comment as to how she choses to show her love for her child.

Taylor is absolutley amazing! I still remember her gorgeous photos (maybe 6 month?) with the black skirt!! Today is a day to relax--reflect and soak up your baby girl!

You are a great mama Ginger.. that is wjy you are working so hard to provide for her... 3-9 is only 6 hours...plus you get to brag to all of your coworkers about this day last year!! The day that changed your life!

My MIL has decided to make up her own version of Q's name and it drives me nuts, so i get that. And your SIL sounds like a bvtch. I would tell her if she thought you being emotional about your child was embarrassing to her, how was she going to feel when you posted all the crappy things she ever said to you on fb?

Thank you so much Beca. You are right, I can brag at work. Although most of the people I work with are like 16 years old, it may be fun to scare them a little with T's birth story! lol Hey, im feeling better already! Haha!
And yes, that was her 6 months pictures. Great memory! Your right, she is gorgeous. She will rock that little bump on her head!

Hope your day gets better. I can understand why people get emotional when their child turns 1. Your SIL should just shut up. Hopefully someone will make a comment about her snarky comment.

And I get the nickname annoyance. My MIL calls Cody 'Cody Jack'. His name is Cody Jackson and we call him Cody or Cody Jackson. She's trying to shorten it even more to CoJack. I will squash that if/when it happens.
