One of our best discussions was Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother (but only if everyone else has children.)

I also loved Snow Flower and the Secret Fan as well as Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet.

My book club is reading Zeitoun right now.

Are you picking for the 12/10 BMB or your other BMB?

Because Gone Girl was really good and would be a really good book club book .... but if you're picking for the December board, pick something else because I've already read it! Stick out tongue LOL

Cinderella Ate My Daughter was really good, if your group is open to non-fiction.

I was thinking that Gone Girl might be too popular for it to be a good choice. I'm leaning towards Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Sounds interesting.
