Adoption

Gladney?

Anyone have experience adopting through Gladney Center for Adoption?

  • Both of my daughter's are "gladney babies" through the domestic program.  Our family firmly believes Gladney is the best agency in the country!  (a little biased, I know!)

We've stayed very involved with them even though our adoptions are finalized (our youngest just turned a year).  Feel free to PM me with questions.

PS - i actually met Rachel Sonnier (who replied above) through Gladney.  She came in town for orientation and I had the pleasure of stopping by to meet her and her husband.  We even have the same caseworker!

  • Thank you, ladies!  I pm'd each of you! :)
  • I'm glad others have positive posts and I know that they've helped many people over the years. That said, not any one agency is right for everyone. Make sure you "interview" them yourself so you know if they are right for you. My husband and I are foster parents and Gladney was one of the 3 agencies we looked into before we selected one. I was personally pretty put off by some of the arrogance we perceived there - they know they are good and wanted to REQUIRE us to do things we weren't comfortable doing. So we didn't pursue them. We did find an agency we really like and have had sucess in adopting through them. It's a long process, so don't shortcut up front! Best of luck to you!!!
Look before you leap - but leap.
