We have tried, and seems successful, but I'm waiting for her Pedi appt on the 14th. I don't want any formula in a Sippy.. So it'll be strictly milk and water. That's my goal.
No plans. Our pedi doesn't switch to WCM until a year. So we will wait until after the 27th! He does great with a straw sippy, so hopefully the transition will be bearable.
This is me too. I'm glad I'm not the only one. All these posts about transitioning fill me with anxiety! B is not great with a sippy, and she's not all that great of a solids eater either. I'd say almost all of her nutrition still comes from formula. But at her 9-month appt the pedi said we would talk about getting off of formula at the 1-year appt, so I'm trying not to worry about it.

We see the pedi Monday so I'll discuss it with her then. I tried unsuccessfully a few times but with my health stuff going on I put it on the back burner. My goal is for bottles to be gone by 15 months.
We started adding WCM to DS' bottles over the weekend (specifically, the afternoon bottle as we want to get rid of it first). Well, once we got to a bottle of 1/2 WCM, 1/2 formula, he decided that he preferred the taste and refused to drink the other two bottles if they were all formula. Ugh. Anyway, we're now down to 3 bottles, all half and half. I think we'll take away the afternoon bottle this weekend and see how it goes! Too bad we have an entire container of unopened formula left to go. We think we may end up throwing some out
I put that all bottles are gone, but she is still taking formula from a sippy 1-2x a day, and milk and water the rest of the time. I wasn't sure if this meant just bottles or formula too.
We are down to just the morning and bedtime bottle. The rest are in sippy cups or straw cups. We got the go ahead today to switch to WCM so we will see if/how that changes anything. My plan is for the mornng bottle to be the next one gone. Then once that is done we will start getting rid of the nighttime bottle. My plan is to be 100% bottle free before he is 15 months. I have a feeling it will only be another month till we are bottle free.
We are down to 2 bottles a day, morning and bedtime. He gets formula in a sippy with lunch, as well. I keep meaning to try WCM, but he has a pretty bad cold and I wasn't sure if the milk would be worse for his coughing than the formula.
I tried putting his formula in a sippy at bedtime a few nights ago...major fail. I should probably try cutting out the morning one first. I think he will always want something to drink right when he wakes up and don't think he'll care what it's in. I wanted all bottles gone by 12 months, but I've only got 9 days left, so that was probably over ambitious. Haha
Tatum has two bottles, morning and bedtime. That's it for formula for her - she won't drink formula from a sippy for some reason. She has cow milk in a sippy with at least one of her meals/day, sometimes more. I want to drop her other two bottles, but DH disagrees and said we have to talk to the pedi first. Her appointment is on the 21st, so it looks like we're waiting until then.

I wanted all bottles gone by 12 months as well, um, that is tomorrow for us. Oh well!
Re: CP: Dropping the Bottle
Awwww.
