I read this article this morning

And got to thinking, while I think it was very selfless of the mother to carry her daughter and son-in-law's child when the daughter couldn't, I'm just not sure I would be comfortable having my own mother carry my child.

If she was physically capable of safely carrying and delivering the child, yes. Why not? although my mom died when I was ten so maybe my answer would be different if I had experience with an adult mother-daughter relationship.

I feel the same way.
With that being said, if one of my children struggled with IF I would be a surrogate for them assuming I was physically able to.

probably not. i just think it would end up being strange. if not for me and my mom, then probably for dh and future lo.
