Just getting to the point that I can post, but my baby was due September 16, and I had him on August 30.
My water broke at 2 a.m. with a loud pop and I instantly started having contractions about a minute apart. I was at the hospital by 2:45, 7 cm dilated. Was pushing around 3:30 a.m. I had my baby boy at 6 a.m.
I was planning a home birth but with the development of my pre-e, I knew I had to deliver in the hospital. My doctor was planning an induction this week. Baby had other plans. Thank god. I actually feel better and more rested now that I have had the baby then when I was pregnant those last 3-4 weeks. I think the pre-e really made me uncomfortable. I was able to birth him med free and vaginally though, so I got the birth I wanted for the most part.
We were team green, and got a healthy baby boy, we named, Vincent Elliott.
6lbs, 9oz, and 20 inches long. My husband and I couldn't be more enamored.
Re: Sept baby born in August - a week ago today
Congratulations! Boys are so much fun.
That is really crazy that you were 7 cm when admitted - so fast!
