Any moms out there have a baby that when they get mad they hold their breath before they cry and turn purple? That's just too much for me! Y do they do that!?

    Blow on her face, usually makes them snap out of it.

    DD has done it since she was 4 hours old. We put her in the car seat to leave the BC, and she inhaled, turned purple, held her breath, and then SCREAMED! We're used to it now (DD only does it when she's super mad), but I couldn't tell you why it happens!

    I just asked our doctor about that today! He said it's totally normal. We should only worry if it happens for more than 60 seconds, and at that point they'll pass out anyhow. When they pass out, they'll start breathing. He said not to react, because when they get old enough they'll realize they can freak you out with it and start doing it on purpose.
