So, a few weeks ago I bought my son a little potty. This past week he went pee in it, sitting down & everything! I was so excited. I've been bringing him in the bathroom with me lately, so he could go potty too. Sometimes I take his diaper off, in the bathroom so he understands its potty time. He went on the floor, but then I finally set him on the potty and he went again! He's went 3 times in the past week & of course I'm not pushing him because he's not even a year and a half yet.
Anyone have any tips to help him understand to go in the potty? or any potty training tips in general?:)
Re: Potty Training!:)
"Sink the cheerios" is a great game. Or a couple drops of red or blue food coloring in the toilet bowl so he can turn it orange or green! But that's for when he's using the big toilet.
One thing I noticed helps a lot is to have designated "potty books." They don't even have to be about going to the bathroom, just special ones you keep in there. That keeps them sitting on the toilet longer and if you pick funny stories, chances are the laughter will prompt some urination... :-)
My daughter doesn't walk or talk yet so she's not using the potty but I've babysat a ton of kids, worked in daycares etc and these are my favorite tricks from those experiences!
