We got our furniture from Baby 2 Teen in Manassas. They have a huge showroom with excellent quality furniture that grows with the child. The delivery/ setup fee is extraordinarily reasonable and they seemed very flexible in terms of delivery date.
My dad owns a furniture in Alexandria called The Chair Shop. I got my nursery furniture from him and love it! I'm sure he would hold the furniture until you needed it delivered if you ask.
