Yay! I have no nominations yet. Let me think on it. Is there a September book!?
Nope, figured we would start in October so everyone can have a full month to read it, get it, and borrow it. Everyone will have even more time for the first one. It will be One book a month, and discussions will be in the first monday of each month! Feel free if anyone wants to add anything to the "rules."

I've never done book club.. call me crazy.. How exactly do you have discussions.. does everyone have to read up to the same point by a certain time period so no one spoils anything?

Well I was thinking the discussion would be on the first monday of each month so everyone would have finished it by then. The thread will be like a UO or FFFC that day, and you can chime in whenever you want to.
I'm excited! I bought new book shelves and I need to fill them up with some good books. I've never been part of a book club either. I just think we should plan ahead so people who want to buy the books online and need them mailed have enough time to get them.
I would love to read 11/22/63, however, SK books are sooooo long, I think that might be a little much for a book club on this board. Especially the first month!
Here are my suggestions:
Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahme-Smith
Divergent by Veronica Roth
The Pact by Jodi Picoult
We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver
Will Grayson/Will Grayson By John Green

I've read a few Jodi Picoult books and they were all quick reads.

That is a good book. Sarah's Key and Room are also good

I guess it depends a bit on what style people like reading. I'll read anything.
The best book I've read recently that really stuck with me was cutting for stone. It's not really new though. It's just amazing, beautiful book.

I vote "the night circus" by erin morgenstern
