i am so frustrated

so i've been doing monthly photos. I started at one month and took the last today. Went to assemble them all together and I am missing the shots from the first month. They are just gone. At some point they were emptied out. I don't clear out my camera much but there are no shots on there from Q's first month.

I've checked all our other computers. I checked my other camera, just in case I started with that one. I can hardly remember last week, so i have no idea what happened in October but I KNOW I took these pictures.

    Nooo!!! Did they somehow get dropped into a random folder?  I know I've done that with others by accidentally dragging them.  I'd look in every single folder of pictures.

    Oh no! I took monthly photos, but haven't put them together yet...I'm worried that we will have forgotten one month.

    we haven't switched cards and I have checked every folder they could be in. my only other possible guess is they hiding somewhere on the 1/2 mb of space on the actual camera. H lost all the cords and I've been just using the memory card to retrieve pics. It's a long shot, but i guess it's possible. Of course, there's not much i can do about it, not having the cords and all.

    Linz this happened to me before, for Ry's 1 month shots... I finally found them on some random SD card - I had no idea how they got there, or how I found the card - but then again - who remembers ANYTHING that first month or two.

    I also back up all my images on snapfish JUST incase something like this happens.  However these 1 month shots were not backed up...

    I hope your pictures turn up somewhere, somehow... :-(

    Can you take out the memory card of the camera to see if they are on that 1/2 mb of space?  If so, contact the manufacturer for a new cord, or check some of your other cords, they might fight (I've had an old cell charger work in a camera before as a last-ditch effort).

    I really hope you find them :(

    This has happened to me before. I'm sure you can find a replacement cord and retrieve the pictures. My dog actually chewed through my camera cord and I was able to find one that worked at Target.

    yeah, i can see if can find a cord that will work. I did find some print outs DH made of first month pics, some of which are no longer on the camera so i may need to hound him to find where they may have gone to. i just was looking forward to doing this today for his birthday.

     Nooo! My first thought was about when the creeper took your camera and then returned it... were the photos taken on the same device? -Bo's first year photos
